Husky Memory – Group Experience
A mindful sled dog adventure in collaboration with Lapland Adventure
Together with our friends at Lapland Adventure, we now offer the chance to experience our Husky Memory Tour in a larger group — at a lower cost — without losing the heart of what makes it special.
This is not just a dog sledding tour.
It’s a meeting between species — a mindful journey through the Arctic, and an invitation to experience sled dogs in a calm and respectful way.
How it works
This experience is designed for 2–14 participants.
The group is divided into two smaller teams:
One starts with dog sledding
The other begins with the mindfulness session
After about an hour, we switch activities so that everyone gets to experience both.
When all are back at the kennel, we finish together with dog massage and recovery care, followed by a shared lunch in our wooden hut or Mindfulness Tipi.
Dog Sledding
You will drive your own dog team, sharing one sled between two people and taking turns driving and sitting.
Halfway through the tour, you switch places so that both get the full experience of steering the sled and relaxing as a passenger.
The trail takes you across frozen rivers and through quiet, snow-covered forests, surrounded by the vast Arctic landscape and the distant view of Sweden’s highest mountains.
It’s a beautiful balance between adventure and stillness — feeling the power of the dogs, the rhythm of the runners on snow, and the deep connection that grows between you and your team.
After the ride, you’ll have the chance to thank your dogs with a short massage and a moment of calm appreciation — a mindful way to end the experience and understand what true animal welfare means.
Mindfulness & Animal Welfare
In our Mindfulness Tipi, we explore how calm presence and awareness shape every part of life with dogs.
Through stories, reflection, and practice, you’ll discover:
How mindfulness helps dogs feel safe and confident
How to recognize the subtle signs of well-being and stress
How to bring this calm, connected approach into your own life with animals
About the Teacher
Ylva Forssén has over 20 years of dog experience, ranging from bird dogs to sled dogs.
She is a certified dog psychologist and holds a Crossfields Institute Level 3 Diploma in Mindfulness for People with Their Animals (Trust Technique Practitioner).
Using mindfulness in daily training, she has created a calm, stress-free environment for her 50 sled dogs — and now she shares these methods with others who want to deepen their connection with animals.
Continue the Journey
If you face challenges with your own dog at home, you’re welcome to bring your questions during the tour.
We also offer follow-up online consultations at a reduced rate for those who wish to continue learning after their visit.
